Scenic Rivers Land Trust
Scenic Rivers Land Trust is dedicated to protecting the forests, wetlands, farmlands and other open spaces in Anne Arundel County. We promote conservation through education, advocacy, and by working with landowners and other partners to facilitate land protection agreements. To date, Scenic Rivers holds 78 conservation easements across Anne Arundel County covering over 3,700 acres of land.
Volunteers play a huge role in our stewardship program: assisting in the annual monitoring of each of our 78 conservation easements; helping us tackle the issue of invasive plants through our Healthy Forests program; and pitching in at annual events like Walk for the Woods and the Lifeline 100.
